In October of 2006, Rodney Byrnes partnered with Meridian Real Estate principals, Jeff Harris and John Robinson, in a new joint venture to form Crimson Commercial Group, a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), full service commercial real estate company. Together they possess over 35 years of experience in all facets of commercial real estate. This new company will serve clients both in Indiana and nationally. The firm's office is located at 9000 Keystone Crossing, Suite 1050, Indianapolis, IN 46240.

Crimson Commercial Group was formed with two particular goals in mind: first and foremost, to provide clients with first class commercial real estate services and also to strengthen our client’s commitment to diversity by way of partnering with a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE).

The company specializes in office and industrial leasing, sales, tenant representation and consulting, land brokerage and has access to many of Indianapolis' top real estate professionals. As President of Crimson Commercial Group, Byrnes leads the firm’s efforts to provide commercial real estate services to corporations desiring minority participation in their outsourcing as well as assisting them to meet diversity goals while receiving best of class commercial real estate services and representation.
